Lloyd,

I was diagnosed In Oct. 2002

--viral count 26,000,000
--AST-75 ALT 71

--seven weeks of interferon before I was declared not a good candidate

--4 months later AST 217 ALT 288

--Started your program in October 2003

--after 7 months viral count 14,000,000
--AST 62 ALT 69

--As of March 2005

--viral count 6,000,000
--AST 62 ALT 62.

The doctor said there is no reason to continue with blood tests for viral count since I am no longer on the interferon. Isn't the object of the game to lower the viral count and shouldn't you keep tracking it since it seems to be declining with each test? A sonogram taken today (March 29) showed a slight increase in the size of my liver and my spleen from one done two years ago.

Am I gaining ground or losing ground? The answer I am getting from the professionals is "there is a good chance you will die from something else". I don't find this very comforting.
