| Hi Lloyd,
I forgot to change my email...after today earthlink will be a comcast
account.
Also, Labs just in.... the lab I just got was from a different lab
that did the last protocol, but similar to the ones I had a year
ago when I found out I was still positive after finishing combo
pegintron treatment. So, I was surprised to see my ALTs were high,
after being normal 6 months ago. WIth this lab, normal range is
12-59, and my result was 67. AST was also high at 56, with normal
being 16-41. Any thoughts on this?
Now for the good news: My viral load 1 year ago was 95100 (reference
range less than 50). My current lab: 65100.
That's a drop of 30,000.
Fred
Hi Fred:
All the numbers are nuts and unpredictable for about 2 years after
interferon. Usually the viral load goes up 3 x baseline after interferon.
You are doing very well.
Get a ferritin test. You should get one every 6 months to make
sure it does not go up.

Still, I can't begrudge 30% decrease in viral load. 93100 to 65100
is definitely a step in thre right direction. I've been off interferon
for a year and a half now. It's a good benchmark because that test
June 2004 was about 3 or 4 months prior to starting your program.
Best wishes,
Fred
