Hi Lloyd,

Just want to let everyone know that the interferon and ribavirin are truly poison.

I quit my treatment after just 2 weeks. I knew I could not handle it.

It was the worst thing that I have ever experienced in my life.

I would love to elborate if you so desire.

Respectfully,
L. H.

Well, I still can't sleep and my second and last injection was on Friday, August 11th, along with the ribavirin pills. According to my liver specialist, my biopsy indicates a stage II (of course meaning some
fibrosis and "mild activity").

My ALT's were not too far from the normal range, but I'm still a little confused about that. Going back today for some blood work, and the nurse practitioner says we can talk about other options and a 5 year plan.....I think I need to find another doctor because originally I was told that this was the only way they treat this (aggressively with the meds). Well, the side effects are worse then the disease. I never had any symptoms except for fatigue, and was diagnosed by my primary physician
after just a routine physical and blood work.

The medication was a nightmare. I'm still trying to get back to normal. I had all of the common side effects, including nausea, flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, aching, and headaches), in addition to irritability, depression, insomnia and mild feelings of hallucinations. I'm still so weak, and trying to work. After reading, and learning more along the way I decided that this crap that the doctor prescribed to me was garbage, and a total cost of about 10K to my insurance company. Well, I still have the stuff and trying to figure out how to dispose of it, because I sure wouldn't want anyone else to get ahold of that!! I can't believe that the FDA has approved this medication given the common and serious side effects described and why anyone reading it would even want to try it. I was scared and made a hasty decision. I am just thankful that I have stopped after 2 weeks.

Glad to find your website, looks like you have some good information out there. So, I guess I'm on a new journey now to try to fight this thing. I know that God is for me and that sustains me.

Thank you for your time.

Respectfully,
L. H.
