Sir:

You have been highly recommend by a friend. I was dx with HepC in Jan 06 - Geno type 2; initial viral load of 673,000 - -- finished 24 weeks of Pegasus / ribiviran-viral load was undetectable.

2 months later, you guessed it, my liver enzymes have tripled - went for a slew of lab tests yesterday- Have an appt with my Dr. next Friday. I'm also most certain that they will suggest more tx. At this stage, I am uncertain. Their belief is that I have had hep C for at least 20 years (it was picked up on a routine lab test (platelets were low which began a slew of testing)

A CT was done 3 weeks ago that showed cirrhosis with portal hypertension - Let me state that I am a young 50 year old female who is very active ( 2 jobs, 2 teenagers etc)

My biggest c/o these past years have been fatigue. I just figured it was my life style. I have no symptoms of liver disease ( I am nurse which can be a good thing or a bad thing!) Prior to tx, I was on no medications . I am confused and am in the process of reeducating myself.

I would like to build up my immunity and also help my liver to heal. What would you recommend?

I recently had just completed my immunizations for Hep A and B 2 weeks ago- I had asked if that could have prompted the elevation of the liver enzymes, but was told no.??

Any thoughts you would share would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your input and help
Linda K .

Hi Linda:

The hepatitis A & B vaccines do raise the viral load and doctors are to blind to see it. I see it raise the viral load between 10 million and 70 million points. People with liver disease should not be given these vaccines. After these vaccines, no one gets completely cured from hep c. I have difficulty understanding why they (MDs) proceed the way they do.

When one uses time released interferon and the virus comes back, it usually goes up 3 times baseline. I have seen it at least 50.000 times.
It is also written here.

The doctors are going to tell you that you have to use interferon again. I have seen this thousands of times. If interferon does not work the first time, it will not work the second time.

If you had low platelets, you should have not used interferon. The drug damages your livers ability to make platelets. Most of the time I see low platelets, it takes years of good nutrition and the right supplements to make them go up. After interferon, it is even a longer harder battle.

How are you White Blood Cell Count (WBC)?

This is what you need to do.
Fax me all your lab work, 310 457 9449
Then I can make suggestions that fit you.
You need to get a ferritin test, simple blood test.
You need to say No to any more interferon.

Take as a minium:
Milk thistle 400 mg 3 d ay
Lipoic acid 300 mg 3 x day
Selenium 400 mcg per day
Dandelion root tea, 1 quart per day.
NADH 2.5 mg every morning on a empty stomach.
This is a minium and there is a lot more you can do.

For low platelets:
Natcell Liver, as much as you can afford. It is expensive but it can raise platelets. Do not use the prescription for raising platelets, I have seen this do very serious damage to people with hep c.
Natcell Thymus 1 vial every other day.
Non Pasteurized aloe, 2 oz. 3 x day
Ultra absorbic C 1/2 vial at least 2 x week. More is better.

If you would like a book I am happy to send you one, just need an address to send it to. It will answer allot of your questions.

For adrenal fatigue you can try Energy Flash, natural items to help regenerate the adrenal gland.
