Vitamin E Research Ignored by Major News Media

If you think Medline and Wikipedia are biased, take a look through your newspapers and magazines. For example, have you noticed how the news media are quick to publish negative allegations about vitamin E, but slow to present the positive side?

Here's a check to see if this is so: Have you seen any articles on the effectiveness of vitamin E therapy reported in your daily newspaper?

Hep C victims deserve better

It is virtually impossible to put an accurate and true dollar value on a loved one lost.

But when a mechanism is set up to try to do that, when responsibility is accepted by government, it is unacceptable for families to lose yet again by failing to receive the full compensation they deserve.

Higher HCC risk with increased insulin resistance in hepatitis C patients

Recent studies have demonstrated that type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is associated with high risk of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) development in patients with chronic hepatitis C. Insulin resistance (IR), which correlates inversely with circulating adiponectin concentration, is a consistent finding in patients with type 2 DM. Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection has been reported to be associated with increased IR.

Group Asks Why Breast Cancer Sufferers Lionized, Hepatitis C Sufferers Scorned

Dozens of people gathered outside San Francisco City Hall Wednesday to raise awareness about hepatitis C and call on government officials to take action to ensure care for people that are suffering from the virus.

The event, organized by the city's Hepatitis C Task Force, brought together people who have suffered from the virus and their supporters, including representatives of Mayor Gavin Newsom and Supervisor Bevan Dufty.
