fibroscan

I just had a liver Fibro Scan

Subject: Good News, I just had a liver Fibro Scan

I have had the hep c virus for about 30 years now, but the good news is, a recent liver Fibro Scan showed, "virtually no liver damage at all for a person my age", of 55 years old. "the damage is virtually non existant." was the Dr.'s exact words.

I drink your Dandelion Tea almost every day (6 days a week/ about 32 oz on those days) and even tho my hep C didn't go away my fibro scan said that the liver damage is virtually undetectable! I find this as very good news.

Thanks again for your articles

4 years ago I put my faith in your advice

Dear Lloyd
With delight and gratitude I bring good tidings in our festive season. 4 years ago I had a fibroscan in the 2 to 3 range. In Australia the scale is 1 to 2 , 2 to 3 and 3 to 4 . A reading of 1 being the best and 4 being the worst. At the time of my last scan the specialist predicted in another 5 years I could have a reading of 4 end stage. Which should be right about now.  So 4 years ago I put my faith in your advice and your programs. I have diligently taken many many supplements and consumed countless bottles of thymus in the past 4 years. I have not been back to be tested in this 4 years as I did not want to be distracted by testing and obsessing about results. Not knowing my status at times has been nerve racking and during these years I would sink into times of doubt about how well these herbs were really working.

Which drinker is most at risk of getting liver disease?

Liver disease is now the fifth biggest killer in the UK — with the number of people dying from it rising by 20 per cent over the past decade. However, there are often no warning signs until it is far advanced, so many of us could have the potentially fatal condition without even realising it.

Indeed, when the British Liver Trust recently offered members of the public on-the-spot screening, one in four people tested showed signs of early scarring.

‘Most people die of liver disease after just their first or second admission to hospital for it, as they have not realised they were suffering with it — and their condition will be so far advanced. By the time they are seen, it is too late,’ says Dr Martin Prince, consultant hepatologist at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.

These people took a test using FibroScan, a device that measures the stiffness of the liver. The technique is similar to ultrasound
