Hepatitis C drug linked to 'FATAL Skin Reaction'

Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/038711_hepatitis_C_skin_reactions_drug_treatments.html#ixzz2IG8CB6u8

If you or someone you know suffers from hepatitis C, you may want to think twice about succumbing to conventional drug treatment options, which could end up resulting in unexpected death. As reported by Army Times and others, Incivek (telaprevir), a popular drug used to treat hepatitis C, has been implicated in causing fatal skin reactions in at least two hepatitis C patients worldwide, and the drug appears to be especially deadly when used in combination with other hepatitis C drugs such as Victrelis (boceprevir).

Both Incivek, which is manufactured by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and Victrelis, which is manufactured by Merck & Co., were brought to market in 2011 to treat hepatitis C. But since that time, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has received at least 112 reports of patients developing very serious skin conditions, particularly as a result of using Incivek. Because of this, the agency recently decided to update the package insert for the drug, warning users about its dangers.

I had to have Interferon Injections in 2003 for aprox. 6 months for treatment of Hep "C". Where I came in contact with this virus I guess I will never figure out.  All I know for sure is the Doctor said the Virus was gone and it was very doubtful it would ever return. So far, So good. It's 2012 and still no sign of it.

I completed 1 year of Pegysus & Ryboviron durung the "only" time in my life that I had health insurance and of course now that I'm severely suffering with side affects...I have no health insurance. I've had to file for disability and been denied now for almost 2 years. I'm facing loosing my home (bungalow) and what about my quality of life now. I'm seeing comments on this site re; being better off with the Hep-C and that's exactly what I've been saying. I need some ammunition for disability. Please help me.

Llyod,
I want to thank you for being so open about this experience with interferon.

I am a daughter of a person who went on interferon.  My father was swimming labs, active in the community, and always had tons of energy.  His doctor put him on what she said was more interferon known to man. He was on ALOT of interferon at Hershey Med Center in Pa.  My Dad became very sick. He had personality changes, his hair went straight, sick as a dog, and started doing things he would never do.  Lloyd a couple years after he went off the Interferon he developed waldenstromes macroglogulanemia, which is a Nonhodgkins lymphoma.  The doctors say that its from his Hep C but I think its from all the interferon he was on.  Do you know of any relations between Interferon and lymphoma? Have you ever heard of any corrolation.

some truth about recovery from this treatment

Your Question for Lloyd

I am 3 months off Ribavirin and Interferon. The virus was undetectable 1 month into treatment and I stopped treatment 3 weeks early. I wish I had stopped earlier as I feel brain damaged and Nervous System Damaged. Cognitive Motor skills damaged...Eye sensitivity, emotonal and mental problems, depressed & fatigued. Will I recover? My boyfriend is still with me and I sometimes feel he thinks I use it as an excuse...and I question myself so I would like to hear some truth about recovery from this treatment. I took the treatment for almost 6 months and I am a 40 year old woman with no other health problems.

Thank you, Heather

Dear Lloyd,
I came across your link for your web site when I googled alternative and natural cures for Hep C.  This gal I know contracted hep c they believe thru a dental procedure about 2 years ago.  She wasn't really sick but the Drs. put her on the now infamous Interferon chemo toxin and while her tests are now negative for the virus, her health has since spiraled out of control.
