About the Affordable Healthcare Act and Pre Existing Conditions

Based on Lloyd's findings when attempting to check out health plans compliant with the ACA I tried to verify these statements but could not recreate the the answers given to find these statements that Lloyd DID find while attempting to comply.  Personally, I found the the plans and the laws to be so complicated and variable that I don't understand how anyone can make an informed decision based on the information provided by HealthCare.gov or any of the other health insurance corporate welfare recipients claiming to care for patients with the tools provided.  You may want to track changes with ObamacareWatch but I did not find many answers in their info either.

To find these disclosures Lloyd was looking at the first 2014 ACA compliant blue cross plan. It said it does not cover prescription drugs so you have to buy the additional plan at the bottom for an additional 107 a month. Then if you click on pre-existing info you find the statements below.  I could not recreate this.  I could not determine my monthly out of pocket expense for the "mandatory" health coverage.  I could not understand how the government expects people at the poverty level to pay Anything out of pocket for health coverage that they are being "forced" to purchase.  You can't squeeze blood from a stone, hopefully this won't turn into an excuse to put stones in prison for not having blood.  These laws seem to be a huge financial boon to health insurance companies and have little to no positive impact on people who actually need an Affordable healthCare Act.

Senate Approves S.510 - 73 to 25 Now It Moves to the House

THE US SENTATE JUST VOTED TO END FOOD FREEDOM IN THE UNITED STATES.
THE ACTION NOW MOVES TO THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

WE HAVE PREPARED A NEW ACTION ITEM TELLING THE HOUSE NOT TO ACCEPT THE SENATE BILL S.510.
The NY times just reported the "lame-duck leadership" in the House will attempt quick passage!

"Despite unusual bipartisan support on Capitol Hill and a strong push from the Obama administration, though, the bill could still die, because there might not be enough time left in the session for the usual haggling between the Senate and House of Representatives, which passed its own version of the bill last year. Top House Democrats have said that they would consider simply passing the Senate version to speed approval."

Last night Sen Coburn said the bill will raise food prices; add 1.5 billion to deficit; add unfunded state mandates. It will not increase food safety one bite.

The ad hoc coalition against S.510 of health and food freedom advocates (such as Health FreedomUSA and Citizens for Health), garden, farm and ranch groups, both major Tea Party groups, the Oath Keepers, Downsize DC, Campaign for Liberty and others will not be fooled and we will remember! Below is a list of Senators who voted for cloture and who are up for re-election in 2012. Save this list!

Save Local Food & Supplements From Congress - They VOTE TODAY!

Email or Call your Senators and ask them to oppose S.510--the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act.
(To view the bill and it's status, go to www.thomas.loc.gov and enter the title in the search field).

It now approaches its final hurdle before being voted on by the full Senate - an effort by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) to stop debate on S. 510 by invoking cloture (a motion which requires a three-fifths majority of the full Senate [60 votes] to pass).

The best chance to defeat S. 510 is to defeat the cloture and prevent a vote.

Email your Senators now and urge them to oppose cloture for S. 510, and feel free to edit the letter provided so that lawmakers receive a variety of emails.

Sen. John Kerry & Rep. Michael Honda Introduce Hepatitis C Legislation

A silent killer is loose in America. It contributes to the death of 15,000 Americans a year and threatens the health of 5.3 million more. It is more common than HIV/AIDS. It is the leading cause of liver cancer - a cancer that is on the rise and continues to be a fatal and costly disease. Yet it remains unrecognized as a serious threat to public health.
